That’s because the Disney animators are good at their job and used real lion fights as the source for their fight scenes. But I think it would be really funny to see these pics redone with Ska and Simba, some of the expressions on the cats faces are hilarious!

Can’t wait to show these to my husband. He gets so nervous when our cats “fight”. It sounds like they’re going to kill each other. What was really precious was the close-up shots of their faces – the fighting was fierce but their eyes said “I don’t REALLY want to hurt you – please back off!” AWESOME and very patient photography.

how long did this fight go on before the owner interrupted it, or did they at all? i would have broken it up a little sooner (yes, i have cats that play too, but the longer they play the rougher they get and they do hurt each other if i let them. as long as they play nice, it’s cool with me. when they get too rough, i interrupt. am i the only one that thinks this may have gone on too long?

To those wondering why there’s no blur – try a DSLR. Set the shutter high enough, and you won’t risk a blur. Also, the cam (if it’s a good one), will snap fast enough to capture several frames per minute. I bet this little dance didn’t last more than a few minutes, and the photographer just snapped and snapped.

As far as those in fear that they were actually fighting…not the case. You can tell they were playing. Cats are fierce when they’re angry; there wouldn’t have been so much jumping and ‘playfulness’ if they were, indeed, fighting. We have 4 cats; I see this nearly every day. And I’ve also seen a REAL fight. Their fur would be standing straight up, to say the least.

You people are all so gullible. Cat’s don’t fight like that. Photoshop, Photoshop, Photoshop. Who said “so cute” ? Its not cute when cats fight. Have you ever heard the noises they make? They make the noises to scare the other cat away. Cats don’t stick around that long when they are fighting. These cats looked like they were being paid. Did anyone notice how good/neatly brushed they look through the whole fight. People you have to pay attention to the details. This is proabably the same person who did the Polar bear pictures where the guy is feeding the Polar bear and her cubs. You made it a little more believable this time. Not so far fetched as the Polar bear mother watching the guy hug her cubs. LoL

@Nancy : maybe because they WEREN’T fighting but PLAYING. That’s the whole difference. When playing they aren’t fierce, they can play long and they can look “good”.
Anyway, those pictures are great, I wish I could make the same ones with my cat

@Nancy – You don’t have cats, do you? These two are not fighting, they are playing. Our cats play that way for sometimes as long as 10 minutes at a stretch, although those bouts are usually interrupted by occasional 15 second pauses for grooming. They are very vain, and hate to look mussed even while playing!

Kung Fu Kitty VS. Quick Claws McGraw…..

An Epic battle begins as the thirst for blood and flesh grows. Nature’s vendetta has prepared both these warriors to attack with no mercy. Quicker than lightning can strike a tree,, claws are drawn into a swiping vehemence of rage killer cat combat. Fur rises amidst the echoes of screams. As the attacking continues, a frenzy of feline fight tactics takes to the air, a blitzkrieg of multi-strike blows are exchanged as they tumble to the ground, viscous bites sink opportunistically into the skin. As the ground around them is blanketed in fur, Kung Fu Kitty dares one last great attempt to silence Quick Claws McGraw with a super spinning Starr kick. Though, as he rises into the air, Claws McGraw decides in a fraction of a second to counter Kung Fu Kitty’s super spinning Starr kick with an ultra powerful ICanHasCheezeburger bite to the belly. However, as they made contact , the force of each body colliding together at full speed knocked a blow strong enough to rattle one each of their nine lives. As they attempted to recover, each began to realize that even though clearly they were both indomitable, neither of them were invincible. As they begin to back away from each other a familiar voice calls from the distance, “Precious,, Fluffy, sweeties its Meow Mix time!!” Claws & Kitty run home together, excited about the Meow Mix Smorgasbord that awaits them. And to think that only moments ago they were ready to annihilate each other. … So what sacred knowledge should you take away from this story?…

These two cats are identical to the two I have at home. IDENTICAL!!! and they act the same way. Awesome!

These cats are playing. Notice the ears are up and not laid back. Nor would there be so much “air time” or belly up time had this been a real fight. And kitty foreplay doesn’t go for this long (if at all) nor does the actual mating. They are definitely playing. I have 30 cats and they play like this, but not for this long a period. My thinking is these were not taken in just one play time. I bet it was over several…

I saw this a couple weeks ago and now I’ve come back it seems some of the pictures were removed, which is a shame – they were hilarious! Still I love this page.

Steph, you need to chill out. These cats ARE fighting but it is quite clear that they know eachother and aren’t hurting one another. The photography is amazing and I am sure the cats are fine!

i just went through a few of these comments…. WHO THE HELL WOULD THINK THESE CATS ARE FIGHTING???? spend a few days with a pair of playful kitties and you will see these behaviors and facial expressions anytime they play. the cats hair is not raised, there are no signs of distress. they are obviously playing and having a good time. Its sad that stupid people with no life get on here to leave stupid comments on something so adorable and fun.

I love how the “cat lovers” (those who think this is cruel and not funny) don’t remember the word.. instinct. This sort of play is practice.
