Uhmm, none of these are of renaissance style. Most of these are neoclassic or from the rococo

PROTIP: learn the meaning of “Renaissance”
May 8th, 2011 at 8:09 pm
Yep, that guy is a toolbag.
Renaissance is not a style of painting.
And non of these are neoclassical.

Oh for crying out loud…it’s obvious their interpretation of art styles etc…aren’t right. But the pictures look great. Good job! The rest of you…do you spend all your time trolling around to trash other people? Get a life.
Thanks for the pictures!

Shut up you dumb fucking cunt.
May 11th, 2011 at 12:34 am
Someone needs to learn what renaissance paintings look like.
May 11th, 2011 at 12:37 am
Oh and yes renaissance is indeed a style. It also happens to be considered a period. One of the distinguishing features of Renaissance art was its development of highly realistic linear perspective.

This certainly is the most different site and innovative idea I have ever come across. Very god paintings and artwork.

I think this is rather brilliant fun.
Especially impressed by the matching of personalities to the costumes and settings.
Thank you for doing it.

Relax. It’s supposed to be parody. Okay, so the time period is off, it’s still funny. I like how some of the celebs look as though they blend right in and others stick out like a sore thumb. Ex. Sharon Stone- pretty sure they didn’t have hair gel in the “Renaissance” period (or neo-classic or Rococo).

these kinda suck a lot of the angles are off. they’re creepin me out
May 16th, 2011 at 5:27 am
This is just awful. You really suck as an artist and a person. Learn what renaissance is. Retard. Go back to coloring in coloring books.

Wow, you guys are really quite rude. Honestly it clearly was made for entertainment purposes who cares about the time period. Lighten up people!!!

I think you all need to relax. It’s obviously made to pick fun. Relax and enjoy art. You don’t always have to critique!
May 17th, 2011 at 3:28 am
The concept is brilliant and some of these (Robin Williams, Hugh Laurie, Daniel Craig) look fantastic, but most of them look like bad Photoshop.
May 17th, 2011 at 10:11 pm
Actually, a few of these styles are actually from the 1920s. Scarlett Johansson, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway…
May 17th, 2011 at 11:23 pm
Aside from the fact that these are incorrectly labeled as occuring during the Rennaisance, they are very poorly executed and look really bad. there might be a couple that are decent, but most of them look like nothing more than an amateur attempt at “photoshopping.”
May 18th, 2011 at 6:22 pm
wow. if you don’t like them, don’t look at them. why be so rude? it’s the internet, not a fucking museum. relax.
May 19th, 2011 at 1:32 am
Carolee, Ellen, Cassie, lvleph and Michelle are all morons. The time periods are all over the place, the execution ranges from decent to poor, but that’s beside the point; it’s okay to tell people their stuff sucks because if you don’t, they think it’s all lollipops and rainbows and don’t want to get better. lvleph is an idiot because he doesn’t realize that the style he is referring to is called naturalism, which adopted the Renaissance ideal of observation of nature to learn about not only art but science as well. l2arthistory everyone.

May 19th, 2011 at 12:32 pm
Honestly? Who gives a shit? I’d like to see everyone complaining do better, honestly.
May 19th, 2011 at 4:46 pm
Wow you definetly wasted alot of time on these terrible pictures, its an insult to call this art
May 19th, 2011 at 5:25 pm
Tracey… yours is perhaps my favorite internet comment ever.
May 20th, 2011 at 6:11 am
funny in the extreme! Get a sense of humor Barry boy
May 21st, 2011 at 2:49 am
to all the trolls: you have extremely sad lives if all you do with your spare time is ram your rude and fastidious comments up everyone’s ass.
otherwise, these pictures gave me a good laugh, which was quite blatantly the creator’s point in making the pictures anyway.
May 22nd, 2011 at 2:51 am
Matt, first of all you are clearly an uptight asshole that quite frankly the world would do better without second, like i said before why dont all of you and the other wannabe art critics shut the fuck up or better yet how about you all get together and have a “lets all drink cyanide” party. you type of people are the reason that the world is so messed up because instead of giving constructive criticism you tell people what you think is wrong with what they do well here is a hint YOU YOURSELF ARE NOT FUCKING PERFECT!!!!!!!!!
May 23rd, 2011 at 6:25 am
Ugh all of these are soooo not Renaissance. It ruins everything! I totally can’t even look at them now. And btw Jesus is a boy, duhhh.
May 25th, 2011 at 5:24 pm
Very, very few of these paintings are actually Renaissance paintings… a lot of them are impressionistic or Rococo.
July 13th, 2011 at 11:46 pm
I always find that the people who slag off other peoples work, are mainly jealous and inadequate as an artist themselves. Believe me, these works are nothing short of brilliant. I only wish I was that talented. Rather than be totally rude and offensive, try and do better and publish your website as so as we can all see how good you are. Nobody is making you look at these if you don’t like them!
July 14th, 2011 at 7:25 pm
Very impressive – excellent work.
