The Simpsons and Classic Movies
ByThere are so many references to classic movies in the Simpsons that it would take forever to list them all, although, some guys have made a colossal work here and I’m sure all Simpsons fans will enjoy it.

Missed the Requiem for a Dream scenes but I don’t think that counts as a classic movie… yet…

There’s this scene in “A Street Car Named Marge” where lots of babies are standing still, just like in “The Birds” monkey bars scene. Outdoors we can see Hitchcock walking a dog.
There’s also the mention to 101 Dalmations (Classic cartoon, ok) in Two Dozen and One Greyhounds.
And “Homer the Heretic” references to “Risky business”. Homer dancing in his underpants!

A lot of those are a bit of a stretch and even more are probably coincidental. There are many great easter eggs in the show but some of these are just classic cinema imagery seen in a lot of films.

I feel like the treehouse of horror ones were intentional.
